The Shortcut Bar and special item types

When adding new items, 24me allows you to choose from several shortcut bar icons to determine the type of item added. The following is a list of available shortcut buttons:

    1. Meet

      1. Only available when adding an item from the calendar.
      2. Allows to add a meeting.
      3. Once selected, 24me present your contact list to select a contact from.
      4. Once you select a contact, 24me allows you to choose whether to use the address of that contact as the location of the meeting.
    2. Call

      1. Add a task to call someone with an action button that allows you to call your contact directly from within the app.
      2. Once selected, 24me presents your contact list with contacts who have a phone number.
      3. You can alternatively type in a number yourself (“Call 11111111”).
      4. A Call task has a Call action button on the screen.

    1. Text

      1. Adds a task to text someone with an action button that allows you to send a text message to your contact directly from within the app.
      2. Once selected, 24me presents your contact list with contacts who have a phone number.
      3. You can alternatively type in a number yourself.
      4. A Text task has a Text action button on the screen.
      5. You can type in text as a note under the task, and that text will be attached to the SMS message.
    2. Email

      1. Adds a task to send an email to someone with an action button that allows you to send the email to your contact directly from within the app.
      2. Once selected, 24me presents your contact list with contacts who have an email address.
      3. You can type in text as a note under the task, and that text will be attached to the email body.
      4. An Email task has an Email action button on the screen.
    3. Hotel

      1. Adds a task to book a hotel or a vacation.
      2. The task which is created will have a Hotel action button that allows to book a hotel with a few clicks.

    1. Gifts

      1. Select a location in the United States to send a gift.
      2. Sending a gift appears as a shortcut on your calendar. Click on the gift symbol and send a gift without opening another app.
